Well I got caught with out a camera in my hand and surprise, surprise I haven’t forgotten how to fish. We were down at South Padre Island last week and got the chance to fish and finally got into some fish after two days of hunting for them. We had a good time even if we had to wait until the last day to limit out on redfish.

“Choose your poison boys” but when I’m wading or drifting across the lower Laguna Madre I had rather have a gold Johnson Sprite spoon when the fishing is tough. When they’re hitting anything as they sometimes do, the old gold spoon is still good and it has worked for me since I first started wading the bay with Mr. Smokey Boyle back in the early 1960’s.
