Get the kids into the outdoors!

Grandpa, son, and grandson took a little trip back in the fall to the hill country north of San Antonio and stumbled around some of the parks along the Nueces River. We ran into some of the native inhabitants that were looking into some new digs for the upcoming winter. We think Mr. Blacksnake was wanting to take up residency in a Cypress tree and maybe we should have let him. We did extract him and coax him into an old dead tree trunk beside the river.

Madison still talks about this outing and experience and this memory will stay with him a long time. The lessons learned in the outdoors are some of the most rewarding for youngsters. The parks in the State of Texas are great venues for families and the entrance fees are really very affordable. Kids get a lot more out of these kind of outings rather than sitting on the couch in front of the television or playing video games

So! Get out there and have a family outing. The kids will always remember it!
