Tops - N - Towers

The FishNet Daily News was in the Kemah and Seabrook areas recently and stopped in unannounced at Tops -N- Towers in Seabrook, just to say “Hello”. Even though we missed Bobby Byrd the owner and “Offshore Fisherman Emeritus” we did have a good visit with Scott Phillips and were allowed to take a stroll through their facilities. This is definitely one of the premier custom aluminum fabrication shops on the Gulf Coast.

The team of management and staff at Tops -N- Towers is purely professional and this is verified by the quality of both the product and the service a customer receives. The front lobby of their building is some what like a small museum with many of the offshore fish mounts from Bobby Byrd’s excursions. The front lobby is also a display area for the aluminum boat towers and platforms, and the recreational vehicle components they fabricate.

Tops -N- Towers offers a full line of T-tops, console tops, leaning posts, bow rails, rod racks, casting and poling platforms and towers for any size boat. Their other services include canvas, upholstery, boat covers and enclosures, electrical installations and repair, and they also offer custom hunting conversions for your truck, SUV, and ATV.

The Great Sporting Powers that be, seem to be smiling on the Central Texas area. Especially the San Antonio and Austin areas where major sporting good stores are moving here in force. The soft opening of the first of two Sportsman Warehouse Stores, in San Antonio, is scheduled to take place this Thursday, August the 25th. 2005. It’s sister store is scheduled to open approximately three weeks from that date. Hunters, fishermen, campers, boaters, and all other outdoors men, women, and children are going to have two wonderful facilities close at hand that can fulfill almost every dream and need. Thanks to the Texas District Manger, Mr. Kurt Hintze, we were given a sneak peek at their store located on the north side of 1604 between Gold Canyon and US 281. We were allowed to take a few pictures and I think you can see that this store is full of “goodies”. We’re looking forward to going back at the “Grand Opening” and visiting with all the department managers including Lee, the fishing manger whom we had the pleasure of meeting.
